Coffee pot by Harris, CS & Sons London; goldsmiths' firm; fl. 1817–1933 and Harris, Charles Stuart fl. 1852–1897. Scrap-purchased; ribbed, pear-shaped coffee vessel supported on four ball-shaped profiled legs. Belly decorated with a band of narrow half-cylinders and grooves; high spout-like handle to the side and a wooden axial handle contemporarily added set in silver sockets. Upper edge edged with a godron band; hinged lid domed in the center topped with a bowling-pin finial. 1895/1896. London, England. Height 21.2 cm; width 18.5 cm; depth 10 cm; weight 640 g., A reflective metal teapot with a curved spout and a tall, angular body standing on small round feet, featuring a dark handle and a domed lid topped with a small dark finial; the teapot has horizontal ribbed decoration around its midsection and a subtle scalloped rim on the lid, with visible surface scratches and reflections; the background is a smooth gradient from light gray at the center to darker gray toward the edges.
