Photographic print: 11.5 × 16.7 cm; cardboard: 31.9 × 24.1 cm., The image shows an old cobblestone courtyard surrounded by multi-story buildings with tiled roofs and many windows, rendered in sepia tones of brown, beige, and dark tan; a central ornate wooden pillar or well structure with a small peaked roof stands in the foreground casting a shadow, while a doorway with an arched pediment and steps sits centrally at the far side with a person standing in the entrance; to the right a wooden staircase leads up to a landing where a few people are gathered, and there are additional doors and windows along the surrounding façades with varied textures of plaster and brick.
