Procession at St. John's Church; photograph, Bulhak, Jan 1876–1950, St. John's Church Vilnius, 1916; photograph, photographic print: height 16.5 cm, width 11.2 cm; album page: height 31.0 cm, width 23.5 cm., The image shows a sepia-toned street scene with a procession moving toward a large building that appears to be a church; a group of people wearing light-colored head coverings and robes form a long line on a cobblestone street while crowds of onlookers stand along both sides of the street. The church facade and adjacent buildings are visible in shades of brown and beige, with architectural columns and a decorative doorway flanked by greenery; there is a raised platform or altar draped with fabric and a cross above it near the building entrance. Many individuals in the crowd wear hats, shawls, and coats in darker and lighter sepia tones, and a few people carry parasols; trees or climbing plants with darker foliage line the right side of the street. The overall palette is monochromatic sepia with variations of brown, beige, and cream.
