The fireplace surround is depicted in warm brown and reddish-brown wood tones with visible grain patterns and a large arched opening; there are darker brown vertical supports at each side and a lighter brown horizontal base with subtle grayish-brown marbling. The bracket drawing shows a straight vertical post and a curved S-shaped scroll support rendered in the same warm brown and reddish-brown wood tones with visible grain, attached to a rectangular top and a darker brown rectangular base. The background is an off-white paper with slight age toning and faint discoloration near the center fold, and there are a few small dark holes and spots along the center where the pages meet.
