Torun double ducat, John II Casimir Vasa King of Poland; 1648–1668; Lauer, Hans Dawid mint lessee; 1649–1669; Poland; Torun; coin., A circular gold coin with a raised rim showing worn edges and small irregularities, featuring an embossed central figure with stylized wings and a robe, holding curved shapes that extend toward a shield-like emblem below; the shield area displays a textured pattern resembling bricks and three tower-like shapes above an arched opening; concentric circular borders surround the central scene and a ring of raised decorative lettering follows the coin's outer edge; the overall colors visible are various shades of gold and yellow with slightly darker golden-brown tones in recessed areas and along worn edges.
