Gdansk ducat; Klüwer, Filip fl. 1588–1601, mintmaster co-creator; Sigismund III Vasa King of Poland; 1587–1632, ruler author; Poland, Gdansk mint; coin., A round gold-colored coin with a raised rim and an ornate circular border enclosing a central design, showing two mirrored lion-like beasts flanking a decorative crowned emblem with scrollwork, surrounded by a ring of raised dots and a wider outer band featuring carved characters; the coin surface shows subtle variations in gold tones with some darker and lighter areas and a slightly worn, textured finish.
