Letter to Maria Mickiewiczówna with a drawing—self-portrait of the artist at an easel outdoors against a landscape with a church. Maker: Tadeusz Makowski 1882–1932, addressee: Maria Mickiewicz 1868–1952. Watercolor manuscript letter, 1923, La Comelle. Subjects: landscapes, self-portraits, portraits of artists, painters, easels, painting accessories. Dimensions: 17.4 × 21.3 cm., A worn, folded sheet of light beige paper with handwritten cursive covering both halves; the ink appears dark brown to black in places and lighter brown in others, with uneven strokes and some smudging. The left half shows dense, slanted handwriting across most of the area, with slight creases and small tears along the top edge and a vertical fold down the center. The right half has more widely spaced handwriting, similar ink tones, and a few faint stains and darker spots, along with a visible vertical crease from folding. Edges show discoloration and minor roughness, and the paper surface displays subtle wrinkles and age-related uneven coloring in shades of beige and tan.
