Dimensions: height 17.4 cm, width 21.3 cm., A rough watercolor scene on tan paper shows a person standing at an easel holding a palette, wearing a hat and a dress in brownish tones with a small red accent near the collar; the easel holds a large tilted canvas with loose pale blue and gray brushstrokes and a small yellow bird perched atop the easel; near the easel is a wooden box on the ground and sketchy dark and brown marks suggesting brushes or tools; in the background a church-like building with a tall steeple and columns stands beside a vague shoreline or open area with a few indistinct figures and soft washes of gray, blue, brown, and green creating hills and sky.
