Biographical details: seventh and youngest child of Sigismund III Vasa and Constance of Habsburg; raised at the court of her half-brother King Wladyslaw IV; known for pleasant manner and deep religiosity; married Philip William 1615–1690 in Warsaw on June 8, 1642; died 1651 and buried in the Jesuit Church in Düsseldorf. Date: 1640–1645. Medium: graphic print. Dimensions: height 42.0 cm, width 29.6 cm. At the bottom of the sheet a strip of cream-colored laid paper is glued, with two filigree fragments visible: a coat of arms filigree and a filigree with a leaf and fragment of a grapevine., A monochrome engraved portrait of a woman shown from the chest up within an oval frame, wearing a dark dress with patterned fabric and a light lace collar; she has long curled hair with a decorated headband, drop earrings, a beaded necklace, and a brooch pinned at her chest; behind her is a draped curtain; the image is bordered by a rectangular sheet with margins and faint discoloration along the edges in tones of black, gray, and off-white.
