Amphora, unknown Egyptian workshop. Amphora with a spindle-shaped belly, fluted walls, and a pointed tip. The neck is narrow with a reflected rim, elongated, and flows into sloping shoulders. Two cylindrical handles are attached to the neck and shoulders. A hole for wine fermentation is drilled in the neck. The interior is impregnated with resin. Outer surface light brown and smooth; belly ribbed. Made of light brown alluvial Nile clay Naqlun AC1C ceramic fabric, 5th–7th century, Naqlun. Vessel amphora, height 56.6+ cm preserved, neck diameter 6.5 cm, body diameter 20.2 cm., A tall, elongated ceramic vessel with a tapered, pointed base and a wider rounded shoulder, featuring a pair of curved handles near the top; the surface has evenly spaced horizontal ridges encircling the body and a rough, textured finish with some irregularities; the colors visible are terracotta brown on the vessel and a neutral gray background.
