Plate fragment, unknown northern Egyptian workshop, plate with horizontally formed rim. Red-orange ceramic with visible inclusions of gold mica and white-yellow limestone particles. Covered with a white engobe, fired beige with pink in places. Painted black decoration with red elements inside the vessel, consisting of: a circumferential band bounded by parallel lines upper one extending beyond the edge, filled with a wavy line and two rows of dots above and below; a representation of a bird preserving the back, tail, one raised wing, and rear part of the head—wing outlined irregularly in red with irregular filling along the back, plumage/coloration emphasized with lines and motifs horizontal on the neck, three concentric lines around the neck, lines on the back, tail elongated with four long feathers; bunches of grapes, depicted as seven touching dots above the back of the bird’s head; a vertical branch behind the tail, probably separating it from an adjacent image. 6th–7th century. Tell Atrib, vessel plate. Height 7.5 cm, width 12 cm, diameter 34.0 cm edge., A fragment of pottery with a curved rim sits against a solid gray background, showing a beige base color with painted designs in black and reddish-brown; the rim area has darker beige and black decorative motifs, and the lower area displays black linear patterns and reddish-brown brushstrokes on the beige surface, with the fragment edges revealing the reddish-brown clay.
