A yellow nimbus outlined with a red line around the figure's head. The face is heavily blurred, features invisible. The ankle-length white tunic is decorated with a diagonal red check pattern at thigh level, followed by a light purple stripe with vertical dark purple stripes, a diagonal checkered belt, and then another vertical stripe pattern. The high priest's shoulders are covered by a light purple mantle with darker purple vertical stripes, fastened at the chest with an oval clasp. On his feet the figure wears dark purple slippers. Original plaster: 224 x 147 cm; wall painting; 1st quarter of the 10th century; height 253 cm, width 184 cm, depth 9 cm. Weight: unknown., A faded wall painting fragment shows the upper body of a robed figure with a circular halo behind the head; the figure's robe is primarily reddish-brown with lighter yellowish-beige accents and rounded patches, and the halo has a yellow center surrounded by a darker reddish ring. The background is a worn, textured beige plaster with visible cracks and discoloration in shades of tan and light brown. The lower portion shows a patterned area with a yellowish base and reddish crosshatch marks, and a vertical strip of reddish-brown fabric runs down from the waist. A pale beige border or mounting is visible along the right edge. The surface overall has spots of loss and abrasions revealing lighter and darker tones.
