Hand-made cross, Ethiopian workshop. Hand-made cross — very schematic. It consists of a rhombus mounted on a shaft topped with a rectangular plate with a rhomboid projection growing from the center of the plate's lower side. The upper, rhombus-shaped part is decorated with wavy incisions on the edges and rhomboids on the tops. 20th century, Tigray. Cross; height 29 cm, width 8 cm., A carved wooden object with a dark brown surface against a light gray background, showing a broad ornate top with scalloped edges, a long tapered central shaft with faint carved patterns, a rectangular crosspiece near the lower end, and a diamond-shaped finial at the bottom; the wood displays varied brown tones and visible grain and worn areas.
