Entire object covered with black varnish shiny but matte in places; traces of turning visible under varnish. Spout slightly chipped; surface shows dirt and secondary losses; varnish worn on rib ridges. Clay color 5 YR 6/6 reddish yellow; varnish color 2.5 YR 2.5/1 black. Dice game. 5th century BC, Attica. Height 8.3 cm; width 10.6 cm; depth 8.3 cm., A worn black ceramic mug with a round handle on one side, featuring a ribbed, undulating surface with a few chips and worn areas revealing lighter material beneath; the background is a flat gray.
