Relief with Dionysus and the Horae, unknown Roman workshop. Rectangular slab cracked in several places with one-sided bas-relief decoration depicting Dionysus with the Horae. Composition is sparse with isocephalism — figures' heads at the same height; despite implied movement, figures appear static. Dionysus wears a long draped Ionic chiton to the ankles, has a long pointed archaic beard, hair with a headband, head in profile, and three locks falling over his left shoulder. His right foot and hand and part of his robe with a zigzag motif are reconstructed. In his bent left arm he holds a thyrsus; his left foot is on tiptoe. The female figures Horae wear archaic chitons decorated with long scarves; the lower garments and feet of the last two figures have been reconstructed. The Horae wear diadems and have hair tied in buns. The central female figure is turned back while the other two, like Dionysus, face forward.
