In front of him is an altar or censer, and in the upper register is a crescent moon. Behind the altar stands a figure in right profile wearing a long robe with fringes; the left arm is bent and raised to face level in greeting, the right arm bent at the elbow is at waist level. Behind the deity, a standing figure in right profile wears a long robe with fringed hem; his lowered left hand holds a bucket or basket, and his right hand, bent at the elbow, is raised toward his face in a gesture of greeting. 23rd–22nd century BC; Akkadian period. Height 1.81 cm; diameter 1 cm., A cylindrical object with a smooth, worn surface displayed against a plain gray background; the object shows a blend of brown, tan, beige, and off-white tones with darker brown speckles and patches; shallow carved or incised marks and indentations create subtle curved and angular shapes on its surface; the top appears slightly concave and darker in color, while the lower area shows lighter, creamier coloration and some small irregular pits and rougher texture; overall the object has a polished, slightly mottled appearance with a few tiny darker spots.
