Side A: a woman shown in left profile with a xylophone in her right hand and a branch in her left. The figure is flanked by small trees on either side. 4th century BC, Apulia, Southern Italy. Skyphos vessel, height 12.1 cm, width 11.1 cm, A single black pottery vessel with two horizontal handles extending from opposite sides, showing worn areas and thin decorative squiggled lines near the rim in a lighter clay color; the lower portion of the vessel and its flared foot reveal exposed terracotta tones, and the surface shows hairline cracks and lighter scuffed patches; the background is a pale gray.
