Aryballus lekythos, unknown creator; decoration: on the belly a winged Nike in right profile, dressed in a long chiton, holding with both hands a box in front of her, under which a basket stands on the ground; ca. 460–450 BC; Attica place of manufacture; lekythos vessel; height 13.3 cm, width 8 cm, rim diameter 4 cm, foot diameter 6.4 cm., A single ceramic vessel with a rounded body and a narrow neck flaring into a small cup-like rim, showing a worn black surface with patches where the underlying clay color shows through; the handle runs from the rim to the shoulder and shares the same black finish with worn areas; the base reveals the natural clay color around its edge; the background is a plain light gray.
