Miniature skyphos. Reddish clay, black-brown firnis poorly covering the outside on the foot, at the bottom of the body, the outer parts of the handles, the rim and the inside. The zone between the handles is white-ground, black-figure. Decoration: A - seated human figure in right profile; B - standing human figure facing right and quadruped facing left. Black-figure pottery, white-ground technique; miniature vessel, skyphos; Attic, Athens, 1st quarter of 5th century BC. Height 4 cm, width 5.2 cm. Creator, Attic workshop unknown., A top-down view of a small two-handled ceramic vessel with a rounded body and a central circular base, showing worn and chipped surfaces. The vessel has broad concentric bands of dark brown and beige around the interior rim and base, and the handles are dark brown with beige worn areas. There are areas of pinkish beige on the central base and small patches of white residue near the center and along some chips. The background is a uniform grey.
