Miniature skyphos. Reddish clay, black-brown firnis poorly covering the outside on the foot, at the bottom of the body, the outer parts of the handles, the rim and the inside. The zone between the handles is white-ground, black-figure. Decoration: A - seated human figure in right profile; B - standing human figure facing right and quadruped facing left. 1st quarter of 5th century BC, Attica. Materials/technique: white-ground and black-figure pottery; miniature vessel; palmette ornament., A top-down view of a round, shallow bowl or pot with two opposing handles, showing a worn, rough interior and exterior surface; the object displays a mix of black, dark gray, brown, beige, and hints of off-white, with patches where the darker surface has chipped to reveal lighter underlying material, set against a plain gray background.
