Aryballos, 2nd–1st century BC, Sicily Segesta - incorrect information?, Etruria, vessel aryballos, weight 0.11 kg, height 5.4 cm, diameter 5 cm, A single rounded vessel with a wide flared rim and a narrow neck connecting to a bulbous body sits on a flat surface; the surface of the vessel shows textured, weathered patina with irregular dark patches and worn areas, and faint incised decorative bands and vertical motif-like grooves encircle the lower body. The vessel displays brown and coppery tones with darker brown and black mottling and subtle greenish hints in spots, and the background and surface beneath the vessel are neutral gray.
