Exaleiptron kothon on a low, conical foot; ribbon-shaped base; upper part and inner surface covered with red varnish thin, uneven layer; outer part of foot covered with red varnish. Band decoration painted on clay with delicate orange/red lines and concentric circles on the bottom. Main decorative ornament consists of smaller, narrower leaves; plant and geometric motifs. Smooth surface with visible traces of turning; fine-grained clay with visible pyroxene. Glued artifact with visible conservation work; large losses in varnish and impurities inside. Clay color: 10 R 5/4 weak red, 10 R 5/8 red. Attributed to Corinth; 2nd half of the 6th century BC. Vessel kothon, exaleiptron. Height 5.5 cm, width 17.4 cm, depth 14.5 cm, weight 0.304 kg., A shallow, rounded ceramic bowl with a short spout on one side resting on a low circular foot; the bowl is primarily tan and light brown with darker reddish-brown painted bands and a decorative band of small abstract shapes near the rim, the spout showing chipped areas that reveal lighter clay beneath, and the background is a uniform gray.
