Set of four spindle-shaped beads, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period; necklaces, beads; Al-Jazira Syria/Iraq, Northern Mesopotamia, Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra Northeastern Syria. Set of four spindle-shaped beads of different lengths: a, b — with rounded sides, oval in cross-section; c — with five notches, five-petaled rosette in cross-section; d — with four flat sides, rectangular in cross-section; decoration., A few elongated pebble-like objects are suspended against a uniform gray background, showing colors of brown, tan, beige, and speckled gray; one larger dark brown, porous piece sits near the bottom center while a few smaller, lighter tan and beige pieces with speckled textures are arranged above and to the sides.
