Fibula, bronze Etruscan fibula with a bent ring made of flatly beaten wire, passing in a three-turn spiral into a thin pin. Small sheath made of a sheet of metal with a rolled-up lower edge. Condition: green patina, hook plate partially broken off, needle bent, without tip. 6th–5th century BC, Southern Etruria. Height 6.7 cm., A single elongated metal object is centered against a plain light gray background, showing a dark brown and black surface with patches of lighter brown and slight metallic sheen; one end has a twisted loop-like cluster with rounded protrusions, while the opposite end tapers into a flattened curved tip; the rod between the ends appears irregular and textured with rough, mottled coloring and subtle variations of dark gray and rusty brown.
