Awl, Early Jazira III / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Elongated bone awl, triangularly sharpened at one end. From Tell Rad Shakra, Khabur basin, Northern Mesopotamia Al-Jazira, northeastern Syria. Function: tool. Dimensions: height 8.5 cm; width 1.5 cm., A narrow, elongated object with a pointed tapered end and a thicker blunt end, shown against a solid gray background; the object has an uneven, textured surface with visible chips and grooves, and displays a range of light beige, tan, and off-white colors with small areas of darker brown and faint greenish discoloration.
