Pendant, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC Early Dynastic III period. Pendant/amulet: animal figurine figurine of an animal standing on all fours—sheep?. Separated straight, dangling tail and large floppy ears on the head. A vertical hole drilled through the center of the back. The whole appearance is disturbed by white plastic mineral efflorescence. c. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Syria, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Syria. Pendant; height 1.8 cm, width 2.3 cm, depth 1 cm., A close-up view of a single irregularly shaped rock or mineral fragment suspended against a plain gray background, showing a rough, porous surface with a combination of off-white, beige, tan, and light brown tones, with a few small darker brown specks and subtle shadowing that emphasizes its textured cavities and rounded protrusions.
