Pendant, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. Pendant/amulet in the form of a small animal figurine standing on all fours sheep?, with a separated straight, dangling tail and large floppy ears. A vertical hole is drilled through the center of the back. The surface shows white plastic mineral efflorescence. Function: jewelry, likely from a child's grave. Material not specified. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Syria. Dimensions: height 1.8 cm, width 2.3 cm, depth 1 cm., A roughly irregular, lumpy object with a textured surface sits against a flat gray background; the object shows pale beige and off-white tones with several small white crusty patches and slightly darker beige areas, and its surface has a mix of smooth and rough granular textures.
