Pendant, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC Early Dynastic III period. Figurine of an animal standing on all fours sheep?, separated straight dangling tail and large floppy ears on the head. A vertical hole drilled through the center of the back. The whole appearance is disturbed by white plastic mineral efflorescence. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Syria. Pendant; height 1.8 cm, width 2.3 cm, depth 1 cm., A close-up of an irregularly shaped rock or mineral specimen with a rough, bumpy surface and a mix of textures; the object shows a range of off-white, beige, and light tan tones with some slightly darker beige-brown patches, and appears porous in places against a flat, medium gray background.
