Kitchen pot, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC. A kitchen pot with an egg-shaped belly and a rounded bottom. In the upper part the walls bend slightly inwards, forming narrow arms that give rise to a low, cylindrical, wide neck with a straight, slightly tilted spout. Two slightly thickened horizontal crescent-shaped handles are attached on opposite edges. The outer walls are intentionally roughened at the bottom up to half the vessel's height, while above they are carefully polished. Traces of soot are visible on the bottom and slightly above. Syria, Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Syria. Vessel; height 20.5 cm, width 20.7 cm., A rounded clay pot with a wide, slightly flared rim, showing a weathered, rough surface with visible cracks and texture; the pot displays a gradient of earthy colors including brown, tan, ochre, and darker brown to almost black areas, with mottled patches and variations across its surface against a plain gray background.
