Spherical vessel with an ovoid belly widening towards the top, small flat round bottom, short sloping shoulders merging into a low wide neck terminating in a rounded rim formed as a wide thickened strip on the outside. Clay vessel, vice-free, height 28 cm, width 28 cm. Origin: Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin, Tell Rad Shakra, Syria., A rounded clay vessel with a wide open mouth and a slightly rolled rim sits against a solid gray background, showing an overall pale beige surface with patches of light tan and soft orange tones, subtle darker specks and smudges, faint surface cracks and lines, and a textured, slightly rough finish.
