Spherical vessel, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC, clay, spherical vessel with an ovoid belly widening towards the top with a small, flat, round bottom, short sloping shoulders merging into a low, wide neck terminating in a rounded rim formed as a wide, thickened strip on the outside; ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC; Early Dynastic III period; Al-Jazira Khabur basin, northern Mesopotamia, Tell Rad Shakra northeastern Mesopotamia, height 28 cm, width 28 cm., A large rounded ceramic vessel fills the frame, showing a smooth, bulbous body with a slightly flared rim; its surface displays a palette of beige, cream, off-white, pale pink, and light tan with subtle mottling and patches of reddish-beige, along with faint grayish and brown speckles and worn marks; the vessel has visible hairline cracks, small pits, and uneven texture, and it sits against a solid muted gray background.
