Vessel with an ellipsoidal belly, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC, clay vessel for oils and ointments, small vessel with an ellipsoidal belly, rounded bottom, low flared neck ending in a flat top thickened by an outward curl, provenance: Tell Rad Shakra, Khabur basin, Northeastern Syria Northern Mesopotamia, height 7.4 cm, width 8.6 cm., A rounded clay vessel with a flared rim shown against a solid gray background, the vessel surface bearing an overall beige to light tan color with areas of darker brown spotting and patches of pale off-white and greenish discoloration, the rim appearing slightly lighter with small chips and a crack, the body showing rough texture, worn and uneven surfaces, and a few small dark specks and smudges.
