Spherical vessel, unknown northern Mesopotamian workshop, clay, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC / Early Dynastic III period, Northern Mesopotamia Khabur basin. Spherical vessel with an egg-shaped belly with a rounded bottom and a low cylindrical neck ending with a thickened rim turned outwards. Found at Tell Rad Shakra, North-Eastern Syria. Height 7.8 cm; width 6.5 cm., A rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim sits against a solid gray background; the vessel surface is mostly pale beige to off-white with areas of mottled brown and tan discoloration and visible fine cracks and rough texture across its body, and the rim shows a slightly darker, weathered edge.
