Bowl, unknown Northern Mesopotamian workshop, clay, Early Jazira III period ca. 2600–ca. 2350 BC Early Dynastic III period. Tableware bowl with a flat, slightly oblique, oval bottom with traces of being cut off with a string, gently tilted walls that straighten and bend slightly inwards in the upper part, and a straight, undistinguished rim. Origin: Al-Jazira Khabur basin, Northern Mesopotamia Tell Rad Shakra, northeastern Syria., A smooth rounded bowl with a matte surface suspended against a flat background, the bowl showing variations of beige and light tan with subtle darker speckles and faint irregular streaks, and the background appearing as a uniform muted bluish-gray.
