Vessel with hieratic inscription. Egyptian pottery ceramic conical vessel tapering toward the bottom, irregular, widest approx. 3/4 of the height. Narrow, sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; very gently rounded, slightly flaring rim; pointed bottom. Handmade, with upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Surface even, outer probably covered with a layer of engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. In the widest diameter are shallow horizontal lines made before firing. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on the lower body. Quite well preserved — slight damage on the rim. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC. Height 14.1 cm; rim diameter 5.6 cm; body diameter 7.8 cm.
