Vessel with hieratic inscription, Ceramics: Egyptian conical clay vessel Nile clay NB2, Vienna System, tapering toward a pointed bottom; irregular, widest at approx. 3/4 of the height. Narrow, slightly sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; very gently rounded, slightly flaring rim. Handcrafted with upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned; surface leveled. Remains of hieratic inscription in black on lower part of the belly. Fairly well preserved with slight damage to the rim. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC earlier parallels dated to 4th–5th Dynasty. Height 15.2 cm; rim diameter 5.1 cm; belly diameter 8.3 cm.
