Vessel with hieratic inscription, Egyptian pottery, ceramics, clay conical vessel tapering towards the bottom, irregular, widest approx. 3/4 of the height. Narrow, slightly sloping shoulders; short, wide neck; very gently rounded, slightly flaring rim; pointed bottom. Shallow horizontal lines at the widest diameter made before firing. Handmade vessel; upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Even surface, outer probably covered with a layer of engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on lower part of the belly. The vessel is glued from original fragments. Old Kingdom, Edfu. Height 14.8 cm; rim diameter 6.2 cm; belly diameter 9.1 cm.
