Vessel with hieratic inscription. Conical clay vessel tapering toward the bottom with narrow, sloping shoulders, short wide neck, gently rounded slightly flaring rim, and pointed bottom. Handcrafted: upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Smooth surface, externally probably covered with engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black on the lower part of the belly. Fairly well preserved; rim damaged. Old Kingdom, ca. 2686–2181 BC.
