Vessel with hieratic inscription, Egyptian pottery ceramic conical vessel tapering toward the bottom with pointed base; narrow sloping shoulders, short wide neck, rounded slightly flaring rim. Handmade, upper part shoulders, neck, rim turned. Surface even, outer probably covered with engobe. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Remains of a hieratic inscription in black faintly visible on lower belly. Very well preserved. Analogies cited in literature; earlier dated to the 4th–5th Dynasty; Old Kingdom, Edfu; height 14.9 cm, rim diameter 6.3 cm, body diameter 9.5 cm., A single rounded vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim sits against a plain background; the surface is textured and uneven with visible small pits and shallow scratches, showing an overall earthy brown color with subtle variations of lighter and darker brown tones and traces of pale gray; the rim appears slightly irregular and worn, and the body tapers to a rounded point with some rougher patches and small surface imperfections.
