Bowl. Bowl with a conical shape and a ring-shaped foot. Straight rim, slightly flaring outward, irregular. Vessel made entirely on the wheel of Nile clay type ND Vienna System. Surface even, covered with glaze before firing. On the inner and outer surfaces of the rim there is a narrow approx. 0.5 cm black band of decoration. The remainder of the vessel is red. Traces of polish on the surface. The glaze is slightly worn in places—possible traces of use. Good condition—minor clay chips on the rim, abrasions over the entire surface. Analogies: Egypt's Golden Age no. 51, p. 78, ca. 1550–ca. 1425 BC; New Kingdom, early 18th Dynasty, possibly from Edfu or Deir el-Medina. Vessel. Height 5.3 cm; diameter rim 15.1 cm; diameter bottom 3.1 cm., A shallow, wide bowl viewed from the side with a rounded rim and a narrow flat base, showing a weathered terracotta surface in shades of reddish-brown and muted orange with patches of darker brown along the rim and lighter worn areas on the body; the rim has a chipped section and rough texture, and there is a small rectangular label affixed near the base with a torn edge; the background is a smooth light gray.
