Bowl, Egyptian painted pottery bowl with a conical shape and a ring-shaped foot. Straight rim, slightly flaring outward, irregular. Wheel-made from Nile clay type ND, Vienna System. Surface even, covered with glaze before firing. Narrow approx. 0.5 cm black band of decoration on the inner and outer rim; remainder of vessel red. Traces of polish on the surface; glaze slightly worn in places possible use-wear. Good condition with minor clay chips on the rim and abrasions over the surface. Analogies: Egypt's Golden Age no. 51, p. 78, ca. 1550–1425 BC; New Kingdom, early 18th Dynasty. Possible findplaces: Edfu, Deir el-Medina . Vessel; height 5.3 cm; rim diameter 15.1 cm; base diameter 3.1 cm., A shallow bowl-like object viewed from the side with a flared rim and a narrow foot, showing an overall reddish-brown clay surface with patches of darker brown and lighter beige speckles and wear; the rim edge appears darker and slightly rough, and there is visible surface texture and small pits across the body; the background is a flat pale gray.
