Vessel, Egyptian pottery, ceramics, clay vessel. Ovoid, slightly downward-stretching shape, widest at about 2/3 of the height. Broad, sloping shoulders, very short, wide neck. Rounded rim, slightly profiled in the lower part, oval in cross-section, slightly flaring. Rounded bottom. Just above the widest diameter of the vessel there is a dent made before the vessel was fired. Clay NB2 according to the Vienna System with a significant amount of organic admixture. Wheel-made, with approximately half of its height worked with a knife or similar tool. Beige. Cracked in the upper part. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel. Height 34 cm; rim diameter 10.5 cm; body diameter 29 cm., A round ceramic vessel viewed from above with a circular opening in the center and smooth curved sides showing a textured surface; the vessel displays a range of beige, tan, light brown, and subtle reddish tones with small darker speckles and patches, set against a uniform light gray background.
