Ovoid, slightly downward-stretching shape, widest at about two-thirds of the height; broad, sloping shoulders; very short, wide neck; rounded rim, slightly profiled in the lower part, oval in cross-section, slightly flaring; rounded bottom. Dent just above the widest diameter made before firing. Clay NB2 Vienna System with significant organic admixture. Wheel-made; approximately half the height worked with a knife or similar tool. Beige. Cracked in the upper part. Old Kingdom, c. 2686–c. 2181 BC; from Edfu. Vessel; height 34 cm; rim diameter 10.5 cm; body diameter 29 cm., A rounded clay vessel with a narrow neck and flared rim, showing a textured, uneven surface with a few rough patches and small pits; the body displays subtle horizontal tool marks and faint surface cracks, along with several darker spots and smudges. The visible colors include light beige, pale tan, muted brown, touches of warm reddish-brown, and small areas of darker brown against a neutral gray background.
