Vessel of an ovoid, slightly downward-stretched shape, widest at about 2/3 of the height. Broad, sloping shoulders, very short, wide neck. Roller-shaped rim, oval in cross-section, slightly flaring. Rounded bottom. NB2 clay according to the Viennese System with a significant amount of organic admixture. The vessel is hand-made from two parts and joined at about 2/3 of the height, turned in the upper part. Surface leveled covered with a layer of engobe?. Traces of a white substance in places on the outer surface of the body and on the rim. Vessel colour – beige. Well-preserved vessel. Ca. 2686–2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu. Vessel; height 34.6 cm, diameter 11.6 cm rim, diameter 29 cm body., A roughly spherical, textured object with a worn, earthy surface fills the center of the image, showing colors of light tan, beige, pale brown, and hints of muted peach and gray, with small dark specks and fine scratches across its surface; the background is a smooth gradient of gray tones.
