Bowl, Egyptian pottery, clay vessel — deep, cup-shaped bowl with a slightly convex bottom and sides arching upwards; straight rim, flat on top, flaring. Made of Nile clay NB1? and covered with an engobe containing red ochre and thoroughly polished. Vessel color: red. Well-preserved with slight damage to clay on the rim. Comparative material cites parallels from IV–VI dynasty and late VI dynasty contexts; typologically dated to the Old Kingdom ca. 2686–2181 BC. Place of origin: Edfu. Dimensions: height 13.8 cm; rim diameter 28.8 cm; bottom diameter 11.9 cm., A single wide-brimmed pottery bowl with a flared rim and a narrow base suspended against a neutral background; the vessel has an earthy reddish-brown color with patches of darker brown and small pale spots, a slightly rough textured surface showing subtle irregularities and wear, and the rim appears thinner and slightly darker than the body.
