Irregularly marked shoulders—clearly sloping on one side and short, almost horizontal on the opposite. Straight, slightly tapering rim. Made of Nile clay with numerous organic inclusions and limestone particles visible on the surface. Uneven surface with numerous depressions; brown color. Quite well preserved; surface cracks resulting from poor clay kneading. Ca. 2686–2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu. Vessel; height 38 cm, rim diameter 11.7 cm, body diameter 15.7 cm., An elongated, irregularly textured object with a rough, cracked surface in shades of beige, tan, light brown, and areas of reddish-orange, set against a plain gray background; the surface shows small pits, grooves, and rough patches with subtle darker speckles and variations, and the top edge is uneven with a small notch while the overall form tapers toward a rounded point at the bottom.
