Vessel, Egyptian pottery, hand-made clay vessel with a conical belly, widest in its upper part approximately 4/5 of the vessel's height, rounded bottom. Shoulders irregularly marked—clearly sloping on one side and short, almost horizontal on the opposite. Straight, slightly tapering rim. Made of not very well-worked Nile clay with numerous organic inclusions and limestone particles visible on the surface. Surface uneven and carelessly made, with numerous uneven depressions; cracks on the surface result from poor clay kneading. Brown color. Ca. 2686–ca. 2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu. Vessel; height 38 cm; rim diameter 11.7 cm; body diameter 15.7 cm., An upright, elongated rough-textured object resembling a weathered vessel with an irregular, tapered shape, showing a pitted and cracked surface with varied coarse grain; the surface displays a range of earthy tones including beige, tan, light brown, and hints of reddish-brown and gray, with small darker flecks and spots scattered across it; the top edge is uneven and slightly indented, and there are subtle horizontal ridges and depressions along the body; the background is a smooth, neutral light gray.
