Medum-type bowl, Egyptian pottery, Medum-type bowl with characteristic carination under the rim. Rounded bottom. Straight, slightly flaring rim. Narrow, sloping shoulders. The diameter of the rim equals the diameter of the vessel's shoulders. Clay probably NB1. The surface was leveled, covered with an engobe, and polished. Vessel color: red. Vessel glued together from original fragments; minor losses on the rim. c. 2686–c. 2181 BC Old Kingdom, from Edfu. Vessel; height 6.9 cm; diameter 24.5 cm rim, 24.9 cm shoulders., A shallow rounded vessel viewed from the side with a curved rim and a smooth interior surface, showing a visible crack and some surface wear; the object is primarily reddish-brown with lighter beige and pale brown streaks and spots, set against a pale gray background.
