Vessel, Egyptian ceramics, clay vessel. Vessel with an ovoid belly, widest about halfway up; wide, short, almost cylindrical neck; rounded, slightly tapering rim; rounded bottom. Made of Nile clay in two parts joined about one-third of the vessel's height. Surface even, beige color, complete. Comparative material: Reisner, Mycerinus, type V–XI,7 and XV–XVI, fig.65,7 fig.67,1–2, ca. 2686–2181 BC; Old Kingdom, Edfu; vessel height 35.5 cm, diameter 10.2 cm rim, diameter 22.2 cm body., A large rounded ceramic vessel with a narrow neck and slightly flared rim, shown against a plain neutral background; the surface of the vessel appears textured and weathered with a mottled mix of beige, brown, gray, and subtle olive tones, showing small pits, scratches, and patches of darker discoloration, and an overall matte finish.
