Bowl. Large conical ceramic vessel with rounded bottom and straight slightly tapering spout; widest point about 4/5 of the height where walls begin to narrow toward center. Just below the rim are two parallel horizontal shallow lines. Made of Nile clay NB2 Vienna System. Surface leveled and covered with a layer of red engobe; overall dark red color. Reconstructed from original fragments with losses, including significant rim fragments filled with plaster. Dated end of ST.P / beginning of 1st OP Old Kingdom, c. 2686–2181 BC; provenance Edfu. Fakhry, The monuments of Sneferu at Dahshur, p. 116, figs. 7-5., A large rounded clay pot with a wide open top fills the frame, showing a textured surface with a weathered, earthy appearance in shades of brown, reddish-brown, and terracotta, and a slightly darker interior; the rim is slightly raised with a faint banded detail, and the body displays irregular patches, small pits, and subtle variations in tone against a plain light gray background.
